The Setting module provide the general configuration of the Kiwire™ platform. This defines the overall behavior of Kiwire™ functionality. This includes General Setting, Voucher Setting, Campaign Setting, SMTP Setting and Timezone Setting for Kiwire™ platform.
Settings > General
The General tab manage the overall Kiwire™ configuration, the field and its function description is listed below.
|Note: Password security will also affect SMS OTP code generated, if set to HIGH the sms otp code generated will be alpha numeric , if set to low it will be only numeric code.|
|Password Display Format||Clear Text : If set to text, administrator will be able to view the user’s password in the user account view page.|
|Hidden : set to encrypted if you do not wish administrator to be able view the user’s password in the page|
|Default Currency||Default currency used for the system and display in financial reporting|
|Volume Reporting Metric||Reporting metric for user bandwidth & volume usage either in Mb or GB format. To make it human readable.
Note : Applicable to Report->Login only, bandwidth report are default in GB format due to high volume reporting.
|Database Archive||How many days before trigger archive the transaction function|
|Login Page ID: display||Text that will be used to represent USER ID, example for hotel installation you may want to use “Room No” as username display or “Student ID” in education environment.|
|Voucher Page ID: display||Text that will be used to represent Voucher ID during login and report display.|
|Join Insight Network||Enable or disable join insight network. Insight Network is Kiwire™ network that provide you access to industry key reporting and other advance analytic reporting. By joining insight network, you will have the ability to access insight reporting that compare your overall performance metric with industry peer and region.|
|Default Language||Default Language setting for Kiwire™.|
|Forgot Password Method||The delivery mechanism of forgot password function, by Email or by SMS. Please configure either transport setting.|
|Forgot Password Template||Template to use when forgot password function is triggered; please use template editor to create the templates.|
|NPS Enable||Enable/Disable Network Policy Server (NPS)|
|NPS Email Template||Email template for the Network Policy Server (NPS)|
|GST/VAT Country||Select the country for a value-added tax (VAT) or a goods and services tax (GST)
NOTE: ‘Automatically Detect’ will not working on localhost
|Ask User for Web Push||Enable/Disable the Web Push Notifications
NOTE: Only work if the connection is HTTPS and end-user is using Android or Windows (Chrome or Firefox)
Settings > Voucher
Voucher can be use for one time only. Account that uses voucher is valid until the expiry due date or credit minutes is exhausted. Voucher setting provide general configuration for the voucher behavior, the field and its function description is listed below.
|Default Prefix||Default prefix for voucher to be generated,
e.g. : sync will be sync123456
|Voucher Engine|| The format of voucher account generated
|Voucher Template||Template for the voucher, use Template editor at configuration -> template to create the template for the voucher, you can personalize the look and feel of the voucher created.|
|Prevent Ambiguous Character||Enable this to disable ambiguous character such as o , 0 ( zero ) , I and 1 (one ) which create doubt on generated voucher.|
|Random Engine Length Limit||Default length for Random engine to use when generate prepaid account if Voucher engine selected is random. A short length will have repeat and thus limited max no quantity of prepaid account to be created, e.g. if limited to 4, the max voucher supported in the system will be 9999 voucher.|
|Default Suspension Password||Default suspended user password, that will be used to replace a user account if a voucher is being suspended|
|Admin’s Copy Print Slip||Enable or disable the admin’s copy print slip. Feature for carbon copy of prepaid/voucher printout to have admin 2nd copy when performing printing in A4 format.|
Setting > Campaign
Kiwire™ has a built in smart campaign built, use the configuration tab to set the overall behaviour of Kiwire™ campaign modules.
|Pre-login Waiting Time||The waiting duration required for users to view running campaign or advertisement before accessing main login page.|
|Multiple Ads||Allows multiple campaign to run at same time or single campaign only.|
|Autoplay Video||Enable or disable the Autoplay video.
Note : Only ads that does not contain sound will able to be auto play by mobile devices.
|Enable Persona||Enable/Disable Persona.|
|Super Cookies||Enable/Disable Super Cookies.|
Settings > SMTP
Kiwire™ uses email to send marketing, notification and other function thus Kiwire™ will require an mail server connection to send outgoing emails, SMTP setting will let you configure your organisation mail server configuration.
|Note: Please remember to ensure your SMTP allow connection from Kiwire™ server IP address.|
|SMTP Host||Your smtp/Mail server hostname or IP Address|
|SMTP Port||SMTP Port for the smtp/mail server|
|SMTP Authentication||Does your SMTP require authentication to send mail , if yes please select SSL or TLS|
|SMTP Auth Username||Username for SMTP authentication|
|SMTP Auth Password||Password for SMTP authentication|
|Email From Address||The email address that email generated will use as sender.|
|Sender Name||The name of the sender who sends the email.|
|CC||Write the email address if you are sending a copy for their information|
|Note: Any services related to mail services will need to use different ports from 587,465 and 25 due to Google Cloud blocking those ports.|
Alternative workaround suggestion:
To use mail services on Kiwire Cloud, users can opt to use API connection with third-party services such as Mailgun. Its free for 5000 outgoing mail per month, but will have additional charges if its more than 5000 outgoing mail in a month.

Test SMTP configuration
You can use the Test SMTP function to test if Kiwire™ is able to connect to your SMTP server , To test the smtp config is working properly save your SMTP configuration first then follow by clicking the “Test SMTP” button. you will be required to key in your email address to receive a test mail. Check your Inbox for email from Kiwire™ to ensure you successfully received the test mail.
In event of SMTP connection failure an error will be displayed.
Example configuration for GMAIL:
For gmail SMTP the following setting is being used
SMTP HOST : smtp.gmail.com
Use Authentication: Yes : TLS
SMTP PORT : 587
SMTP Auth username : firstname.lastname@example.org
SMTP Auth Password : yourpassword
Email from address : email@example.com
|Note: For gmail, please set “Allow less secure apps: ON” under the gmail account.|
Setting > Time Zone
The time zone setting screen let you set time zone configuration for the Kiwire™ platform.
